Loss of Bakrie & Brothers 143% surge

Jakarta - PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) recorded losses of Rp 302.78 billion, up 143% compared with same period last year who also recorded a loss of Rp 124.54 mylar.
This was revealed in the financial statements of the first half of 2010 submitted by the Director of BNBR Gafur Sulistyo Umar told the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX), Tuesday (09/07/2010).
From these reports, the company actually operating revenues increased from Rp 3.46 trillion in the first half of 2009 to Rp 6.033 trillion in the first half of 2010.
But the cost of corporate income in the first half of 2010 rose sharply to Rp 3.99 trillion, from Rp 1.67 trillion in the same period last year.
This increase in cost of making the company recorded a gross profit increased slightly to Rp 2.037 trillion, from Rp 1.79 in the first half of 2009.
Pdaa first half of 2010, interest expense the company debt ballooned from USD 171.071 billion in the first half of 2009 to Rp 908.06 billion.
This is also due to the increase in the number of large corporate debts of Rp 15.23 trillion in the first half of 2009, to Rp 27.52 trillion in the first half of 2010. (Dnl / Qom)
